SFF Organization

Sisters Folk Festival’s mission is to enrich lives through innovative music and arts education programming and cultural events that serve an inclusive, multi-generational community.

Sisters Folk Festival, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 1995 to bring the finest in acoustic music to the charming town of Sisters, Oregon. Over time, it has developed into a year-round cultural-arts organization that supports local schools with extensive community engagement.

Beyond the three-day Festival, SFF Inc. is responsible for the wildly successful educational outreach program, the Americana Project; the exciting community-themed arts fundraiser, My Own Two Hands; the intimate Americana Song Academy; a superb Winter Concert Series, and the overarching annual membership opportunity, the Sisters Folk Arts Circle.

2014 Sisters Folk Festival leaves $1.2 million dollars in the local economy!
SFF, with support from The Ford Family Foundation and the Deschutes County Commissioners, commissioned Dean Runyan Associates to assess the economic impact of the September festival on the local economy.  The results are astounding and the benefits to our small, rural community are significant.
